A group of unimpressive, forgettable dweebs all work in a movie theatre. They discover an old reel of film, put it on and discover a psychedelic porno movie. They start having visions of a naked seductress, with whom once they engage in carnal acts, destroys their male organs.

“Porno” has an interesting premise, that of a horror movie villain representing the sexual hang-ups of the victims, and, I suppose, even the release from them as their genitalia is exploded by her. It’s just a premise the movie does nothing with. Even the basic slasher premise of people in a location they are unable to leave being bumped off one by one is handled badly. The characters are totally uninteresting and make no impression. The events on screen don’t seem to follow any logical sequence. Most of the supernatural activity in the movie makes no sense, and it distracts from the succubus who should be the central threat. In fact, she could have been like a sexy, female version of Freddy Krueger. Why hasn’t that been done before?

“Porno” could have been good. It was just handled really badly.

It does have a scene of gore unlike any I’d seen before: after his genitals apparently exploded, what remains of them is displayed for the viewer, while another character attempts to sort out the unfortunate person’s loose testicle.
