X-Deal (2011) – Storyline/Plot:

Photographer Billy and his girlfriend Sarah have just moved into a new apartment. They are no longer in love, but they content themselves with sex, often involving role play. Billy becomes enamored with their new neighbor Dana, who spends her days at home blogging and supplying drugs to a local dealer. The thing is, Dana’s more attracted to Sarah. Billy lays out a deal: Dana can spend the night with Sarah, and in exchange, he gets to have sex with her. Billy manipulates the two ladies to get what he wants, but he fails to realize the risk of the arrangement.

Review of X-Deal (2011 Film):

In the film, Jamilla Obispo plays a blogger named Dana, who lives in an apartment unit next to the new tenants, live in partners Billy (Jon Hall) and Sara (Paloma). Billy has set his eyes on Dana even during their first day in the complex- he even took a stolen photo of her. He and his partner are no longer in love, but they content themselves with sex, often involving role play.

On the other hand, Dana is more attracted to his partner, Sara. When he finds out about this, he offers her an outrageous deal: if Dana will give Billy a night of passionate sex, the latter will let Sara to sleep with her. “Gusto mo siya. Gusto kita. Sounds like a fair trade,” he tells her. “Sleep with me, you can have your night with Sarah. Maniwala ka, sulit ang magiging kapalit.” All three agreed on this deal, not realizing the risk of the arrangement as Billy manipulates the two ladies to get what he wants.

Early on the film, we are already made aware that “everything has a price” here. Dana is revealed to be a drug dealer, and instead of paying money to a local guy who serves as her errand boy, she pays her with drugs as a form of a trade for his services. And so when Billy proposes the deal involving his partner, she accepts the offer right away. Admittedly, the film takes a long time to get to this main concept of the story. Instead, the film stretches out its duration through fillers: random sexual fantasies and fetishes.

This would have worked if the sexual fantasies that they depicted we’re even titillating at all. But no. Hell no. Instead, they’re unintentionally hilarious thanks to the bad writing and ludicrous costumes. In one scene, Jon Hall is sitting at a staircase when Paloma arrives, wearing a uniform.
