Point of Seduction: Body Chemistry 3 (1994) – Storyline/Plot:

The first Body Chemistry (1989) was a variation on Fatal Attraction: Sexual-behavior researcher Marc Singer is threatened with death when he breaks off his romance with lab assistant Mary Crosby. Body Chemistry 2: Voice of a Stranger (1991) was a variation on that variation, with ex-cop Gregory Harrison, addicted to “rough sex”, finds he can’t shake his former girl friend, psycho radio counselor Lisa Pescia. So now we’re up to Body Chemistry 3: Point of Seduction. This time, a female sex therapist Shari Shattuck attracts the attention of a maleTV producer Andrew Stevens when most of her former lovers turn up dead. Complicating matters is another woman in the producer’s life: his actress wife Morgan Fairchild, who wants to star in a movie based on the lady therapist’s life. Definitely not a “date movie.”

Movie producer Alan Clay wants to make a movie about Dr. Claire Archer and her amazing life story (she’s been ‘forced’ to kill two men in self defence). Claire falls for Alan, and Alan cannot resist temptation, so now he’s hiding an affair from wife Beth. When the movie writer’s investigations uncover new facts in the killings, Claire senses the danger, and responds

Review of Body Chemistry 3 (1994 Film):

Flipping through the countless channels which showed nothing but boring “erotic” thrillers, I finally gave up and settled on “Body Chemistry3”. To my surprise(and slight embarrassment), I enjoyed this picture, not as an erotic thriller(there are no thrills and the sex scenes are so mechanical I thought the Pep Boys would show up!) but as an unintentional comedy. I laughed throughout this movie because the stars, and the director, takes this story so seriously.

The story cocerns an accomplished TV producer, Alan Clay(Andrew Stevens, who throws around names “Meryl” and “Glenn” like he could actually get them) who is pushed into producing a story about Dr. Claire Archer(Shari Shattuck), a beautiful sociopath(and a shrink!)who, in BC 2, murdered and stalked a highschool sweetheart but made it look like he did it(he died as a result of her manipulations). She soon seduces Alan, who is married to an ambitious TV actress(Morgan Fairchild), and weaves a tangled web where several people get murdered. In the end, well..let’s just say there’s a Body Chemistry 4 out there as well.
